Our Story
Education CHANCES began in 2006 after commissioned research highlighted considerable
levels of scattered poverty and social isolation in Boroondara.The Boroondara community
ranks number one for relative advantage in Victoria.

Education CHANCES is passionate about supporting young people in Boroondara in Melbourne’s East, to achieve their ambitions and pursue their goals.

To nurture and promote hope, self-belief and future pathways for young people in Boroondara.

To harness the power of education and inclusion, by providing scholarships to young people in Boroondara in Melbourne's East.
Farewell to
Helen Worladge OAM
Our Education CHANCES Board and team are unanimous in our desire to honour Helen’s extraordinary legacy, in helping to reduce educational and social inequity amongst thousands of 12 – 25 students in Boroondara and beyond. On Tuesday 20th May, we will conduct a community-wide fundraiser for a Helen Worladge Scholarship, in perpetuity. We warmly invite you to join us in support of this initiative.
