Please join us in making a gift towards a new Helen Worladge Transition Scholarship

Our Education CHANCES Board and team are unanimous in our desire to honour Helen’s extraordinary legacy, in helping to reduce educational and social inequity amongst thousands of 12 – 25 students in Boroondara and beyond.

Please join with us in making a gift towards a new Helen Worladge Transition Scholarship, in perpetuity, to enable a student to begin their studies and pathway into secondary school with confidence.

All gifts are tax deductible.

The Education CHANCES Foundation recognises the challenges that disadvantaged children and their families face, and how these challenges can create educational barriers. Our scholarship program aims to close the gap on educational attainment by providing financial scholarships to talented and motivated young people experiencing financial hardship.

Since 2006, the Foundation has raised over $1.3 million and awarded almost 1,200 scholarships to young people in Boroondara. In 2022 and 2023 we have been able to award 237 scholarships, assisting more talented young people across Boroondara to succeed academically and pursue their goals than ever before.

Our 2023 evaluation titled Boroondara's Best Kept Secret – A Social Return on Investment evaluation for the Education CHANCES Foundation found that for every $1 invested in the program, between $16.57 and $19.51 of social and economic value was created (compared to $12 and $17 in the 2017 evaluation).
