Please contact your child's school to discuss an application for 2026. Scholarship applications will open on Monday August 4 2025 and close on Monday September 8 at 5pm.

Education CHANCES is passionate about supporting young people in Boroondara in Melbourne’s East, to achieve their ambitions and pursue their goals. We believe strongly in the power of education and the gift that education brings to the life of a young person.

The Education CHANCES Scholarship Program proudly supports young people between the ages of 12 and 25 who live or study in Boroondara. We have a strong mission to support young people who are experiencing financial hardship to achieve their academic goals. We work closely with our partnering schools to award scholarships each year.
Our Scholarships are awarded each year.
Our Scholarships are valued at $1650 in the first year and $1100 each year after this.
We award approximately 110-130 scholarships each year.
An Education CHANCES Scholarship supports young people to fund important education related areas, which may include:

Purchase of a laptop

Purchase of textbooks

Purchase of tools for subjects e.g a calculator

Uniforms
-
Participation in extracurricular activities

Travel and the purchase of a MYKI

If a young person has a particular school related need which sits outside these areas, please discuss with your school nominator or Wellbeing team as to how we can best support.
